Multi-stage KOT-KAT type pumps

 

      DESIGN
  • The Turbo-KOT and KAT series pumps are medium and high-pressure multi-stage pumps.
  • These series are designed to pump clean water as well as less aggressive liquids that contain no abrasive materials.
  • Turbo-KOT and KAT series compriseof 8 different models and conform to Turkish Standards institute (TSE).

  • The intermediate stage casings are sealed by O-ring joints and axially tightened by external tie bolts.

  • Turbo-KOT series runs at 1450and 2900 rpm. Turbo-KAT series runs at 1450 rpm.

  • Suction flange is generally located horizontallyon the drive side. Delivery flange maybe located at the top or at the side of the pump. Position of the flanges can be changed optionally according to the specific requirements.

  • In order to eliminate axial thrust balance disks are used.

  • In order to reduce leakage loss renewable casing wear rings are used.

  • They are designed to operate at standard temperatures of up to 105°C. For higher temperatures of up to 140°C cooled gland seal or special mechanical seal is used.

  • Turbo-KOT and KAT series pumps cover the range from 4 up to 200 litres/sec with manometric head from 50 to 400 meters.

  • Direction of rotation from drive end coupling is clockwise Anti-clockwise rotation is available upon request.

 

IMPELLER

  • Turbo-KOT and KAT series pumps have closed impellers with blades of double curvature resulting in higher efficiencies when compared to single curvature blades.

  • Every impeller is balanced statically and the whole rotating assembly is balanced dynamically.

 

BEARING ASSEMBLY

  • The pump shaft is supported by two heavy - duty type bearings of NU-300 and NU-2200 series with oil lubrication. Depending on the operating conditions grease lubricated bearings can be used.

  • The bearing bracket is carefully sealed off on both sides to prevent water or contaminants from seeping in.

 

SHAFT SEAL

  • Standard stuffing box packing and lantern ring are used. The shaft is protected by renewable shaft protecting sleeve in the region of the stuffing boxes.

  • Mechanical seal and water chamber for cooling can be supplied optinally.
