DAC-S
and DAC-Y Submersible / Immersible Pumps
DESCRIPTION
DAC-S
and DAC-Y type submersible/immersible pumps have been designed for
reliable pumping of wastewater, sewage and sludge containing solids and
fibrous material. They are available with 4 different types of impeller -
single channel, double channel, vortex and screw type impellers. They can
operate in medium with temperature upto 40oC.
Special
heat dissipating exchangers are used in case of medium with higher
temperatures.
Special
precaution should be taken for pumping medium of densities higher than 1.2
g/cm3 and viscocity higher than 1.5x10-6 m2/s.
DAC-S
: This type is suitable for operation under submersible conditions.
The motor is water-cooled and is cooled by the surrounding pumped medium.
DAC-Y
: This type is suitable for submersible/immersible operation. That is
it can operate below liquid level, partially submerged or dry. The DAC-Y
type constitutes of oil cooled motors, which enable the pump to operate in
dry conditions. This oil-cooling feature eliminates problems of blockage
associated with liquid cooling system.
APPLICATION
-
Pumping
of communal and industrial wastewater and sewage.
-
At
sewage treatment plant.
-
Pumping
of chemical and industrial wastewater.
-
Pumping
of rain water.
-
All
kids of drainage and dewatering work.
-
Pumping
of difficult liquids of industrial processes.
FEATURES
-
Motots
in3 phase, 400/690V (230/400V on request), 50 or 60 Hz frequencies, F
class insulation and IP68 protection class.
-
Pumps
supported by heavy-duty ball bearings. In DAC-Y the bearings operate
in oil and in DAC-S the bearings operate in grease.
-
Heavy-duty
double mechanical seals with silicon carbide/silicon carbide are
employed. Motors below 15 kW are fitted with a single mechanical seal
and two oil seals.
-
Thermal
protection (thermistors) incorporated in the motor windings and water
leakage probe (electrode) in the oil chamber.
-
Pumps
are painted with red synthetic undercoat and coal tar epoxy over
evokrom primer.
-
Pumps
are tested to ISO 2858 class C.
